Prince Double Feature Birthday Bash at The Little Saturday, June 10

Hop in your "Little Red Corvette" and "Let's Go Crazy" partying with Prince like it's "1999."

We're celebrating the birthday of "The Purple One" Prince Rogers Nelson with a double feature screening Saturday, June 10.

The Little's Prince Birthday Week Bash begins at 6 p.m. with a pre-show tribute of Prince's career. The main event begins with Purple Rain at 7 p.m. and Under the Cherry Moon at 9:45 p.m.

Prince's actual birthday is June 7, but hey, this is Prince we're talking about, he deserves at least a full week of celebration (probably more, if we're being honest with ourselves)!  The Little is offering a discount double feature price of $8 for admission to both films. Double feature tickets can be purchased at The Little box office and Little business office (unfortunately not on the website). Individual tickets are also on sale ($5 per movie) and they can be purchased on our website, thelittle.org, as well as at the box office, and business office.

About Purple Rain: In Purple Rain, Prince plays “The Kid”, an angry Minneapolis musician on the rise with his band, the Revolution, escaping a tumultuous home life through music. While trying to avoid making the same mistakes as his father , the Kid navigates the club scene and a rocky relationship with a captivating singer. But another musician, (Morris Day), looks to steal the Kid’s spotlight – and his girl.

About Under the Cherry Moon: Prince’s follow-up to Purple Rain is “one of the strangest and craziest movies of its time,” says RogerEbert.com. Prince’s directorial debut follows two friends living in the Mediterranean scamming rich women. When a trust fund beauty moves to town, things get complicated.
